Japan Aishteru

Organized by Project Surya

Bringing it for Japan!
Welcome!

To the first fundraising initiative under Project Surya
~ JAPAN AISHTERU ~
Japan, we love you!

Many thanks for your interest and participation, on whatever level you choose to be involved.

After the 5th largest earthquake on record and the tsunami and aftershocks that followed, the people of Japan are in need of our help.

THE FACTS:

  • 160,000 homeless in freezing temperatures
  • 100,000 children displaced
  • 4 nuclear reactors still over heating and in danger of exploding
  • 50 countries have put trade restrictions on Japan due to the radiation levels in exports
  • $300b in damages, making this the most expensive natural disaster in the last 50 years (The Economist)

According to the New York Times, Japan is, year after year, among the top five humanitarian donors in the world, including to both the Pakistan floods and the Haiti earthquake last year.

IT'S TIME FOR THE WORLD TO START GIVING BACK!

On May 6th at 6am we will be dedicating 108 Sun Salutations to the people of Japan.

Please click the orange ChipIn button to your right to support Japan. Even a small symbolic gesture will make a difference.

Through the 4-star ratedDirect Relief International, I am confident our contribution will help rebuild a strong, though terribly injured nation.

So let's bring it!

All the philanthropic leanings, well-wishes, hopeful vibes, love - and yes, our money - will be of great service to this vital part of our global community!
